Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She is currently the president as president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the National Basketball Association's controlling owners. Buss is a native of California and grew up as an heir to a prestigious family. Jerry Buss, her father was a businessman in the field of real estate and later eventually became the proprietor of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. Her parents divorced in 1972. separated together and she felt abandoned. When she was 19 years old, she was appointed the general manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team. Later, she founded in the Los Angeles Blades, a professional team of roller hockey. She also served as president of the Great Western Forum before assuming the duties of the vice president of the Lakers. Her father passed away in 2013, and his control over ownership for the Lakers was passed on to Buss as well as her siblings via a trust for the family that gave each sibling equal voting rights. She assumed the office as the President for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss was also a owner of a portion of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling organization).
