Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was an author and editor and editor, as was Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father had an ethnically Jewish family. The actress has also a half-sister named Sunyata Jubal. Her older brother is Uria. Ryder moved with her family members to Mendocino County California at the age of seven.
