Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was an author and editor and editor, as was Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father had an ethnically Jewish family. The actress has also a half-sister named Sunyata Jubal. Her older brother is Uria. Ryder moved with her family members to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. They didn't have electricity. Ryder was an avid reader and spent her time reading books because she had no television. Ryder was enrolled in acting classes when Ryder was 12, at the American Conservatory Theatre. Lucas, a 1986 film that she was in, was her debut major character. Ryder was fifteen when she landed the role. Ryder experienced bullying at high school. Her hope was that acting might change the situation. Unfortunately that didn't come to be. However, she kept working towards her goals. She got her break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder was able to continue playing roles that were successful in various films. There were two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
